Malhia Best, LPcc

Works with teens and young adults, specializes in Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

I aim to support you through collaboration on areas in your life you want to change to connect with your experiences and behavior to gain a sense of growth. In my work, it is important to collaborate with clients in an opportunity to help them navigate through growing independence while balancing healthy relationships with friends, family, and themselves. I seek to provide clients with an open, organic, and supportive environment without judgment. In doing so through thought records (i.e. journaling), Cognitive reframing to examine and challenge thought patterns to gain different perspectives, and behavior activation to incorporate to build up positive thoughts and activities in your daily life. It is a priority of mine to meet my clients where they are while helping to recognize the difficulties of their stories through motivation to change.
